Every day, when you read a newspaper, do you know
whether the news is real? Fake news is everywhere in our lives.
We can see it in newspapers, on TV and other social media.
The information is false, but it seems true. That really confuses
and bothers us. Fake news is shared by different people. They
can’t tell if it is true, so they believe the news and spread it.
That often causes fear and fraud. So, what can you do to stop
fake news? First, stop and think. When you get a piece of
news, pause and check it out carefully. Second, check your
source. Where does the information come from? The most
reliable sources are from government official websites. Third,
unsure? Don’t share. Don’t forward things on just in case they
might be true. It’s very dangerous. Next time when you get
some information, think twice!
