本國語文 Chinese | 4 | 共四學分，分國文（一）及國文（二），於大一修畢。 This is a four-credit
course, and is divided into Chinese 1 and Chinese 2 for students
to complete in the freshman year. |
外國語文 Foreign
language | 12 | 外語課程應依「通識外語修課規定」修習，共計十二學分。 「英語（一）」及「英語（二）」為基礎課程，採能力分級上課，共計二學期四學分。 除了「英語（一）」及「英語（二）」外，應修習主題式英語課程三學期六學分，畢業前需修畢三個不同英語課程，始取得畢業資格。 大一英語能力後測TOEIC模擬測驗成績未達350分者，應修習「應試加強班」，修習「應試加強班」期間之期末TOEIC模擬測驗成績未達350分者，則該科成績將「不及格」，並應再次修習「應試加強班」，直到取得TOEIC模擬測驗分數達350分(含)始得修習其他主題式英語課程。 另開設「英語檢定」計一學期二學分，「英語檢定」之修課限制與注意事項，請參照「英語檢定」修課規定，並由通識教學部公佈後施行。 外國學生改修華語須經國際語言文化中心審核通過始可改修華語（一）、華語（二）、華語（三）、華語（四）、華語（五）、華語（六）替代，「華語(六)」即為「華語檢定」，其修課限制與注事意項，請參照「英語檢定」修課規定。 The
undergraduate students must complete 12 required credits of
foreign language courses as follows: English
(I) and (II) are 4 credits elementary courses for the freshmen
who are grouped on English competence-based to complete within
two semesters. English
thematic
courses are 6- credit of English courses; students are required
to obtain 6 credits through 3 different thematic courses for
graduation. For
the requirements of registering “English Testing”, please
refer to "the Regulation for Registering English Test"
announced and implemented by the College of General Education. Foreign

程式語言 Fundamental
Computer Programming
| 4 | 共四學分，依各院修課規定辦理。 Fundamental
Computer Programming is a four-credit course. For those who would
like to registered “Fundamental computer programming”, he/she
has to meet the college requirement. |
經典五十 Fifty
Canonized Books | 2 | 共二學分，分A類經典（每本十點）及B類經典（每本五點），請參照經典五十書目表。學生至畢業前須累積至五十點，達五十點者，可獲得二學分。未達五十點者，可於大三起選讀「經典導讀」課程（內含十五至二十點）（0學分）。外國學生可改修「經典選讀」課程，二學分。 This is a
two-credit course. The course is divided into two categories
and students gain points upon completion respectively: the
classic A (10 points), the classic B (5 points), Students need to
gain 50 points in total to receive the 2 credits in the college
years. The course "Introductory Reading on Canonized Books”
is an alternative for students who failed to gain the required 50
points by themselves. The two-credit course “A Guide to
Classic” is recommended for foreign students to take. |
通識課程 General
Education Course | 8 | 通識課程分為人文藝術﹑自然科學、社會科學及生命科學四大類。學生須於四領域中各選修兩學分課程，共計8學分。 The General Education
program has four Distributive Studies categories: Humanities,
Natural Science, Social Science and Life Science. Students are

體育課程 Physical
Education Course | 0 | 大學部必須修習4學期體育課程；其中2學期為大一體育課程原班級上課，另2學期為興趣選項體育課程。

另設立運動基礎能力檢測，將其列為畢業門檻，包括25公尺游泳之「游泳能力檢定」及3000公尺跑走之「心肺適能檢定」。畢業前如仍無法通過檢測，但已修習該檢定課程四學期，且每學期成績均達50分，則視同通過檢測。 3.
如有特殊原因，無法修習普通、興趣選項體育課程及接受運動基礎能力檢測者，得開立地區以上等級之醫院診斷證明書，或經相關單位轉介並由體育室教學組同意後，編入健康體適能班上課。通過該課程考評視同完成該學期體育課程，且無需再接受運動基礎能力檢測。 1.
The undergraduate students must attend the physical education
course for 4 semesters; 2 semesters for the freshman physical
education courses, the other two semesters for the optional
physical education courses. 2. Add on the graduation
requirements: Swimming and Cardio. For swimming: students are
required to successfully complete a short course (25m) in the
first semester of freshmen year. Cardio: students are required to
successfully complete 3,000m within time limit in either walking
or jogging. However, if students participate in the training
courses for more than four semesters and the average score of
four semesters exceed 50 points, students may be considered as
requirements fulfilled. 3. For specific reasons,
students who cannot participate in PE courses have to provide a
certificate that is issued by a regional hospital to the Physical
Education Office. These students will be assigned to a “Healthy
and Fitness” course. Students who take “Healthy and Fitness”
course and pass the test do not need to fulfill the requirements. |
服務學習 Service-Learning | 1 | 必修一學分，大學部學生由大一開始至大三結束前，修滿18小時之服務學習課程與18小時之服務學習活動，得於大三下取得學分，課程與活動分各院系、通識教學部、教務處、學生事務處等單位開辦，課程與活動清單請參考個人PORTAL之服務學習系統。
YZU
Service-Learning takes up one credit learning for mandatory
learning as undergraduates. Each student has to finish 18 hours
of learning and 18 hours of activity before the second semester
of their junior year. All Service-Learning curriculum and
activities could refer to Service-Learning System of portal. |
備註：
共同科目中，除通識課程、大二英語及英語檢定外，其餘則安排隨班開課，以利教學內容的統合。
應用外語系的通識外國語文課程須依應用外語系之共同必修科目表修習。
人文社會學院英語學士班的通識外國語文課程須依人文社會學院英語學士班的共同必修科目表修習。
通識外語開設之主題式英語課程，其課程係依專長、興趣、語文能力等需求設計，分別為「英語文學與閱讀」、「口語英文溝通」、「商業英語」、「媒體與新聞英文」、「實用科技英文」、「實用英文寫作」、「網路學英語」、「影片中學英語」、「學術英文寫作」、「環球英語」及「應試加強班」等，各主題式課程為二學分課程。
自106學年度起軍訓課程由必修改為選修，軍訓課程(課號MT110、MT111、MT112、MT114、MT115)，該學分納入當學期修課學分數計算，但不納入畢業總學分計算。
105級(含)以前之大學部轉學生，如尚未抵免軍訓課程，仍需選修「全民國防教育軍事訓練選修課程」以作為畢業門檻，但不納入畢業總學分計算。
Remarks:
In accordance and integration
with teaching content, all undergraduate students are assigned to
complete the common compulsory courses, except the general courses,
sophomore English, English Testing.
Students of the Department of
Foreign Languages and Applied Linguistics are required to take the
general foreign language course according to the regulation of
studying common compulsory courses of their department.
Students of the International
Program in Humanities and Social Sciences for Bachelor are required
to take the general foreign language course according to the
regulation of studying common compulsory courses of their
department.
The
English thematic courses are designed to meet the students’ needs
for their specialties, learning interests and English competence;
each thematic course is a two-credit course.

The
military education courses are no longer compulsory starting the 106
academic year. MT110, MT111, MT112, MT114
& MT115 are elective courses, which will not be accumulated to
the graduation requirements, but they can be counted as taken
credits for each semester.
For
the transferred students in the year of 105 and earlier who have not
completed the credits transfer of military education, they are
required to take “All-Out Defense Education and Researching of
Military” for passing the graduation threshold. The course,
however, cannot be accumulated to the graduation credits.
