Recently, Lee Sub‐kyun, a South Korean star, who was famous for his role in the movie
Parasite, was found dead in a car in Seoul on December 27, 2023. Police believed that he
killed himself. This event has aroused public anger over the merciless public glare many
think he was subjected to since October when police began a drug investigation. Even if
he had a negative drug test result, the public still doubted whether it was true. This
tragedy involves the problem of cyberbullying and hate speech in social media nowadays.
There is a tendency that the public would hate someone who is unpopular or committed a
crime and use hostile language to criticize and scold the person in social media even if they
do not know him or her. Do we have to right to “bully” a person who is unpopular or did
something wrong in social media? What is the limit of freedom of speech? Write an
