Many people all over the world dream of becoming a
pop star. At the top of the list are teenagers from South
Korea. However, before those young boys and girls can
even dream of becoming a star in the K-pop world, they
have to be trainees first. That, in fact, is not as easy as many
people think.
First, South Korean teenagers spend years working
hard on their training. They are away from their parents and
feel lonely from time to time. Besides learning to sing,
dance, and act, they still need to find time to do their school
work. What’s more, most of them don’t have freedom
because they have to follow orders from their companies.
For example, they can’t eat what they want because they
have to watch their weight.
Life as a trainee is not as beautiful as it looks. Make
sure you really know what you want, like Tzuyu Chou, a
young Taiwanese singer in the popular South Korean girl
group, Twice. If you don’t, you may just find your dream
fading away as you grow older.

Are your grades as good as what you want them to be?
Are your notes good for studying? Notes are phrases and
abbreviations you quickly write down when trying to
follow what the teacher says in class. Later, when you go
back to study your notes, sometimes you can’t understand
or remember what those key words mean; sometimes you
can’t even read your own writing. Here are some tips on
how to be a successful note-taker.
The point of note taking is to make information
shorter. So if you try to write down every word, then you
will soon get behind and lose the thread of what is given to
you. When you take notes, you will not have time to write
in full sentences. The information comes so fast that you
cannot even write full words. So, you have to make your
own set of symbols and abbreviations.

face with lots of acne? Please tell me (33) . Maybe I
should not care too much about my appearance. I should
light my life by reading and studying more. Hope you can
help me (34) the problem (34) . Thanks.
Sad girl, Sharon
