36-37 題: Read the poem and anwer the following questions.
You tell me that you are hopeless,
You want your life less than your death(死亡),
But if you jump into a pool right now,
I know that you will hold your breath (呼吸).
So, I can tell you are not hopeless,
You just do not try your best.
You may sometimes hit rock bottom,
But it’s the perfect place to start again.
So, always keep this in mind:
There’s been a share of good times
Mixed in between the bad.
Do not wait for your hope coming,
But work as hard as until the end of your breath.
If someone hits rock bottom, that means he/she is in the _______

Have you ever heard of how rice farmers might be different from wheat
(小麥) farmers?
In China, on the south of the Yangtze River, people mostly have rice for
meals, and on the north of the river, the most common food on the dining table is
noodles made from wheat. Growing rice needs a lot of work, so farmers help
each other. Because rice needs a lot of water, farmers might have to share the
same well (井)with others. On the other hand, growing wheat takes much less
work than growing rice. Wheat does not need as much water as rice does. So
wheat farmers do not work in the same way as rice farmers do.
How are rice farmers different from wheat farmers? Rice farmers are more
collective, but wheat farmers are more individualistic(個人主義的). People who
are individualistic see themselves more important than others, but those who are
collective like rice farmers think highly of others and enjoy working with them, too.
So are you more like a rice farmer or a wheat farmer?
