As you can see, it’s really a terrible idea to text while driving. So, it’s best that you keep your eyes
on the road whenever you are in the driver’s seat.

What do Leonardo da Vinci, Beethoven, and Wang Lee-hom have in common? Guess what! They’re all
left-handers. They are a group of people who usually feel the world with their left hand, and about one-tenth of the
world’s population belongs to this special group.
To help people understand left-handed people more, Lauren Milsom built the Left-Handers Club in 1990. The
Left-Handers Club is the largest organization which has over 60,000 members around the world. The Left-Handers
Club has three main missions. First, it provides training for parents and teachers of left-handed children, so they
can learn the best way to teach their left-handed children to write easily. Second, the Left-Handers Club also tries
to persuade companies or factories to design products for left-handers. Third, it also holds the International
Left-Handers’ Day. The first one was celebrated on August 13, 1992. On that day, people showed their
thoughtfulness to left-handers by saying, “Happy Left-Handers’ Day!”
Want to know more about left-handers? Join the celebration of Left-Handers’ Day and check it yourself.
Maybe you’ll make many left-handed friends.

Global warming melts away the sea ice, and polar animals are getting into trouble as
a result. They need the ice for traveling, hunting, and resting.
Take the polar bear for example. The main food source of polar bears are seals. Polar
bears spend a lot of time on the ice while waiting for a seal to come up to an ice hole.
With less ice, it is harder for polar bears to catch seals. A study says that if nothing is done
to change this, two-thirds of the world’s polar bears will be gone by 2050.
It is our business to save our home planet. We can help polar animals by making
small changes. For example: turning off lights when leaving the room, and taking the
metro to work more often instead of driving. These simple actions help to save polar
animals and the Earth. As long as each of us can do a little, we will not only save polar
animals but also the Earth. After all, we have only one Earth, dont we?
