Early in the century, no college would accept a woman student. Elizabeth Black Well decided to become

but each time the answer was "No".

At first Geneva College, like the other colleges, was not willing to enroll Elizabeth, but later several

Hi, everyone, I just ended my summer trip to Australia, and I'd like to share what I've seen
and learned in Australia. I hope you will like this post. On my first day in Australia, my friend
Gina told me the importance of using water well. She said, "Don't take a shower for more than five
minutes."At first, I thought she was kidding. However, when I washed my hair in the bathroom,
she then knocked the door and said, "You should not take a shower more than ten minutes." At
that moment, I knew she was serious. Below are more examples about cutting down on water use
that I saw in Australia.
At home
G Gina keeps a bottle of water in the refrigerator for drinking. This way, she doesn't need to run the water
all the time in summer. Gina has to keep her swimming pool covered when it's not in use. In many places of
Australia, people can't wash their cars. They have to go to a car wash with a water recycling system.
In the garden
T There are restrictions on watering gardens in some places of Australia. People can only water on their
allocated days and time. Australia is a dry country, so every Australian knows the importance of water, I think
we should follow this successful example and make a habit of saving water.
